What Is Robonaut?

    Robonaut may be a NASA robot. it's built to seem sort of a person. it had been built to assist astronauts add space.

What Does Robonaut Do?
        NASA began to work on the Robonaut project in 1996. the most recent one is named Robonaut 2, or R2. Robonaut features a head, upper body, arms and hands. Robonaut's head has cameras. They work like human eyes. The hands move like human hands. The fingers move so Robonaut can do many things. Robonaut can use an equivalent tools as an astronaut. Robonaut’s upper body are often placed on different lower halves. This lets it move from place to put . for instance , Robonaut features a set of legs for the space platform . NASA tested the robot with a group of wheels on Earth. 

How Does Robonaut Work?
           Robonaut can perform in two ways. People can give Robonaut an easy job to do . Robonaut’s cpu receives the direction. Then Robonaut figures out the way to roll in the hay . Robonaut can also be travel by remote . an individual uses a headset. It lets the person see what Robonaut can see through with help of its cameras. The person can control the Robonaut and make it move by using controls.

What will Robonaut perform on the Space Station?
        Robonaut visited the space platform in 2011. On the station, Robonaut was like an additional pair of hands. Because R2 may be a robot, it doesn't get tired or bored. So, it had been perfect for measuring how the air moves on the station. The robot can stand very still. It doesn't breathe. It can hold a tool to live the air without breathing on the tool. R2 was also good at cleaning the various handrails inside the station. R2 also had a special board with buttons and switches. It practiced pushing the buttons. It practiced flipping switches. Robonaut 2 did performed many other jobs on the Space station. Now the robot is on Earth for repairs and enhancements . Robonaut 2 are going to be a far better robot. After Robonaut 2 is prepared , it'll return to the space platform .

What Does the longer term Hold for Robonaut?
        Someday soon, Robonaut will return to the space platform . The robot are going to be tested more there. it'd work with other robots. subsequent time astronauts attend the Moon, a robot which is like Robonaut might go, too. One might even attend Mars the primary time people visit.

Mi 10 launched in India with 108MP camera !!


Xiaomi's latest flagship premium smartphone Mi 10 was launched recently.

Xiaomi announced last Friday the launch of its long-awaited smartphone Mi 10. The launch of this smartphone has been delayed due to the Govt-19 epidemic. Xiaomi has finally introduced this smartphone as the lockdown restrictions have been relaxed in some areas at present.

Companies like Samsung and Apple currently dominate the premium smartphone segment. Earlier this year Xiaomi announced the Mi and Redmi as sub-brands, focusing more on the premium segment of the phone market. As a result this smartphone was introduced in the premium segment.

New control for animated stickers on WhatsApp now


        WhatsApp, the world's leading messenger processor, introduced the stickers in 2018, but only last month did the animated stickers come into vogue. Animated stickers work with the graphics accessory, so they take up more storage than usual. Currently, animated stickers are increasingly being misused. WhatsApp has introduced a new limit to control this. Accordingly, stickers will not be sent to any contacts if the limit is exceeded.

        According to WABetaInfo, a fan website that monitors WhatsApp beta, the sticker range is 1MB, no matter how large the animate sticker files are on the WhatsApp processor, however, it may vary depending on the Android or iOS operating system. The company claims to have controlled. Although this is practical their impact is unknown to WhatsApp users.

        WhatsApp launched animated stickers worldwide on July 1st, including just a handful of sticker packs in the App Store. Stickers are one of the fastest growing ways for people to communicate on WhatsApp. Billions of stickers are sent every day. We are releasing the new animated sticker pack for more fun and exposure, ”WhatsApp said in a statement.

The new Jio phone will be released for just 500 rupees!!



It has been reported that Jio's new Jiophone will be launched at Rs 500 with support for 4G connectivity and social media applications.

 Reliance Jio has already launched the low-cost Jio phones in India and is now launching a new mobile phone called the Jio phone 5. This new Jio phone comes with 4G connectivity and features for social media applications and is said to be the light version of the previous Jiophone.

According to a report on the 91Mobiles website, the new Jiophone Lite version will be priced lower, with a starting price of Rs. 399 is expected

It looks like the new Jiophone will be able to make VoltE calls just like the previous models. The phone is expected to run on KaiOS and be pre-installed on processors such as WhatsApp, Facebook and Google.

In addition, it has been reported that Google and Qualcomm are working together to develop Jio's 5G smartphones.

What Is Robotics?


        Robotics is the intersection of science, engineering and technology that produces machines, called robots, that substitute for (or replicate) human actions. 
         In simple we can put ROBOTICS = ROBOT+ ICS, ICS is reverse of SCI = SCIENCE, then "It’s a science which deals with the study of robots."

What is ROBOT then?
    "A reprogrammable, multifunctional manipulator designed to move material, parts, tools, or specialized devices through various programmed motions for the performance of a variety of tasks. - Robot Institute of America, 1979"


        Pop culture has always been fascinated with robots. R2-D2. Optimus Prime. WALL-E. These over-exaggerated, humanoid concepts of robots usually seem like a caricature of the real thing...or are they more forward thinking than we realize? Robots are gaining intellectual and mechanical capabilities that don’t put the possibility of a R2-D2-like machine out of reach in the future.


        As technology progresses, so too does the scope of what is considered robotics. In 2005, 90% of all robots could be found assembling cars in automotive factories. These robots consist mainly of mechanical arms tasked with welding or screwing on certain parts of a car.

        Today, we’re seeing an evolved and expanded definition of robotics that includes the development, creation and use of bots that explore Earth’s harshest conditions, robots that assist law-enforcement and even robots that assist in almost every facet of healthcare.

While the overall world of robotics is expanding, a robot has some consistent characteristics:
  • Robots all consist of some sort of mechanical construction. The mechanical aspect of a robot helps it complete tasks in the environment for which it’s designed. For example, the Mars 2020 Rover’s wheels are individually motorized and made of titanium tubing that help it firmly grip the harsh terrain of the red planet.

  • Robots need electrical components that control and power the machinery. Essentially, an electric current (a battery, for example) is needed to power a large majority of robots.

  • Robots contain at least some level of computer programming. Without a set of code telling it what to do, a robot would just be another piece of simple machinery. Inserting a program into a robot gives it the ability to know when and how to carry out a task.

        The robotics industry is still relatively young, but has already made amazing strides. From the deepest depths of our oceans to the highest heights of outer space, robots can be found performing tasks that humans couldn’t dream of achieving.

What is 3D Printing ?


        3D Printing is a process whereby physical, three-dimensional objects are created by a machine, known as a 3D printer, using designs created in CAD.

Lets discuss some popularly used 3D printing technologies

Fused deposition modeling

  • Stl file of the design is fed into the printer.
  • Raw material is heated up to its melting point in the extrusion head.
  • Model or part is produced by extruding thermoplastic used.
  • The part is created layer by layer – Additive Manufacturing.
  • Material layers hardens immediately after extrusion from the nozzle.
  • The finished product is removed easily.

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)

  • The technique that uses a laser as the power source to sinter powdered  material.
  • Laser automatically points in space defined by a 3D model and binds the  material together to create a solid structure.
  • A recoater  blade is used to move new powder over the build platform.
  • The technology fuses metal powder into a solid part by melting it locally  using the focused laser beam.

PolyJet Printing

        It works by jetting photopolymer materials in ultra-thin layers onto a build  platform. Each photopolymer layer is cured by UV light immediately after it is jetted,  producing fully cured models that can be handled and used immediately, without post-  curing. The gel-like support material, designed to support complicated geometries, is  subsequently removed by water jetting.

Materials used

PLA (Polylactic Acid):

        It is a biodegradable thermoplastic aliphatic polyester derived  from renewable resources, such as corn starch, tapioca roots, chips or  starch, or sugarcane. In 2010, PLA had the second highest consumption  volume of any bioplastic of the world.

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene):

        It combines the strength and rigidity of acrylonitrile and styrene  polymers with the toughness of polybutadiene rubber. It is considered  superior for its hardness, gloss, toughness, and electrical insulation  properties.

LAYWOOD:

Laywood is a wood based filament that can be used in most desktop  3D printers. The wood filament prints easily, similar to PLA, and has a  wood smell when printing. This filament comes in a 0.25kg coil and has a  cherry wood color.


Other materials…

  • PRO series PLA: They are commercially used PLA material which are a higher  grade of the same.
  • PRO series ABS: These are commercially available ABS material.
  • LAYBRICK: These are materials with grey contrast which resembles as a brick.
  • PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate)
  • Poly Carbonate (PC), etc.

Parts of 3D Printer

Stepper Motors

To control the movement of extruder in x,y,z  directions based on the G-codes.

Inductive Sensor

These are the sensors used for automatic bed  levelling.

Microcontroller

        Microcontroller is used to guide the STEPPER MOTORES and to control  the process

Shafts

To hold and move the extruder by sliding through.

SYNCHRO BELT :

To move the extruder in x,y,z directions based on the feed from  the stepper motor.

Temperature Indicators

To indicate the temperature of the material(s) used for the printing.
